Envision Venado: A 5-Year Action Plan

As a Marketing and Programs Manager at Clara Vista, I have worked in the town of Venado, Costa Rica, for a total of 6 weeks and lived with a host family within the community. As part of my field work, I conducted 3 weeks of workshops with the community to facilitate the identification, prioritization, and implementation of the community's goals and objectives. After collecting their feedback, I consolidated their ideas into a 5-Year Action Plan to share with Clara Vista staff, the community, donors, and other stakeholders.

Sustainable Development Plan

As part of the larger Venado Sustainable Development Plan, Envision Venado is a 5-year action plan that specifically prioritizes the themes, goals, objectives, and metrics that the community has identified during weeks of workshops. 

Program Themes

Envision Venado is structured around 9 themes that the community has identified and prioritized: Health, Employment, Education, Infrastructure, Climate Change, Environment, Fun, Community Center, and Local Capacity.

Infographics

Clara Vista conducted a community diagnostic in Venado to assess the status of the community's needs and desires for an improved quality of life. I summarized the results through infographics for each chapter in the 5-year action plan.
